Three-time WNBA MVP Lauren Jackson is all in on the Indiana Fever.
The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee who won two championships with the Seattle Storm spoke with WNBA great Sue Bird, who asked Jackson to pick a championship favorite.
“I actually want Indiana to win, believe it or not,” she said. “I love watching Caitlin Clark. I love the way that she plays. When she gets hot … it’s awesome to watch.”
She added that she enjoys watching Kelsey Mitchell, too.
Mitchell and Clark combine to average 47.5 points per game, powering the Fever (26-14) into a tie for fourth place in the league standings as play resumes Thursday after Team USA’s gold-medal performance in the FIBA Women’s World Cup. The Fever are two games out of third place with four left in the regular season.
Clark and Mitchell have been mentioned as WNBA MVP candidates, along with A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces and Olivia Miles of the Minnesota Lynx.
